Thursday & Friday in Paris 🇫🇷
On Thursday, we travelled to the beautiful Palace of Versailles. Students took part in a fieldwork activity around the bustling Versailles market before enjoying lunch in the local park. We then explored the magnificent Palace of Versailles, taking in its breathtaking architecture, opulent interiors, and world-famous artwork. After some free time for shopping, we rounded off the day with our final group dinner of delicious crêpes, with some students trying a savoury crêpe for the very first time!
On Friday morning, we said goodbye to our hotel and began our journey home with a meaningful visit to Vimy Ridge. Students visited the Vimy Memorial, explored both the Canadian and German trench systems, and walked through the underground tunnels used by Canadian soldiers during the battle. Throughout the visit, students showed great respect, engaged thoughtfully with the museum exhibits, and asked insightful questions during the guided tour, making it a fitting and memorable end to an incredible trip.
